Privacy notice

Five Minute Arcade is currently an independent public-beta project. This notice explains the information used by the current version in simple terms.

Anonymous gameplay analytics

We record lightweight first-party events such as a site visit, run started or completed, game started or completed, and score shared. Links we publish may include a short src label such as whatsapp-status or share-score so we can compare which links lead to actual play. Our app analytics table does not store names, email addresses or IP addresses, and the public gameplay tracker does not set an analytics cookie or persistent analytics identifier.

Your storage choice

Essential browser storage makes the timer, game session and three-hour free-run cooldown work. A separate local-date marker limits the Daily Challenge to one attempt per local calendar day. It also keeps your sound on/off choice for the current browser tab. It remains in use while you use the service and cannot be disabled in Privacy settings.

Longer-term gameplay progress is optional. It is saved on this browser only after you choose “Allow saved progress”. Choose “Play without saving” and optional scores, history, progress and preferences will not be stored persistently. Any existing optional progress record is removed.

Storage used now

The game uses localStorage for essential cooldown and Daily Challenge markers, your storage choice and—only with permission—saved progress. It uses sessionStorage for temporary timer and game state, plus the sound on/off choice for the current tab. No gameplay preference is stored persistently.

Gameplay information stays local

Saved wins, runs, streaks, game counts, Daily Challenge history and your best Five-Minute Run Score stay in this browser. The daily reset uses the local calendar date reported by your browser or device, so changing the device clock or time zone can affect when the next local day is recognised. The game does not currently send that local profile to the arcade owner or save it in a player database. Local scores are unverified.

Technical information

Like most hosted websites, the hosting and security services may process connection information such as IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the Site. The arcade owner does not currently combine that information with gameplay profiles.

Advertising and analytics

The lightweight first-party gameplay analytics described above is active. Google AdSense and advertising cookies are not currently active, and the game does not currently use personalised advertising, Google Analytics, tracking pixels, marketing cookies or fingerprinting. If advertising is introduced later, a Google-certified consent management platform will handle advertising consent separately where required. The current Privacy settings control only first-party saved progress and do not switch off the aggregate gameplay-event analytics described above.

Review or change your choice

Use “Privacy settings” in any footer to change whether optional progress may be saved. You can also clear all Site data through your browser. Choosing not to save progress does not prevent play; essential storage may still be used for the three-hour cooldown, the Daily Challenge limit and the current session.

Children

The arcade is general-audience entertainment and does not ask players to submit names, dates of birth or other profile information. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Contact and changes

A dedicated support address is being prepared. This notice may change when accounts, advertising, cloud saves or other material features are introduced.
